Chic served on the committee of the NCU Oxford Branch before taking on the role of Safety Officer in 1994. He was then elected to the role of Branch Chair in 1997 and then the Branch Secretary in 1998 serving until 2010, overseeing the merger of the Oxon & Bucks Branch, Beds Herts & Bucks Branch and the Thames Valley Engineering Branch to form the Central Counties & Thames Valley Branch.
In 2010, Chic got elected to the Union NEC and T&FS, where he continued until his retirement.
Chic was a dedicated Union Officer, who could be relied on to put his heart and soul in helping the members.
Our Branch would like to pass on our condolences to Chic’s family.
