On Wednesday 21st September, the union gave notice to the company that, BT and Openreach members will strike on October 6th, 10tth, 20th and 24th, this will include 999 service members and callout cover. This follows meetings with the company which have resulted in no serious increase in pay or indeed any interest in putting forward serious proposals to end the dispute.

Interesting to note that BT CEO, Philip Jansen, has not been in direct negotiations around the table with the union, despite taking home nearly half a million in share dividends this year.

The CWU stand ready to negotiate and have put proposals to the company to settle the dispute.
Branches are in support of this latest action and at a meeting held this afternoon indicated the sheer determination of the union right across the country to win the right settlement for members.

The announcement was made on all the CWU media channels. A repayment of the YouTube season can be found below.

We’re being honest – it’s going to be a tough dispute ……. We are in this until we win this.

Dave Ward, CWU General Secretary.
