The Annual TUC Heart Unions week will be held this year from 8-14th February. As part of this week of activity, each union has been asked to hold an online event. The CWU have chosen to host National Follow the Union Day on Friday 12th February.
This day will be used to highlight the details of the national unions social media channels and ask as many members as possibly to like and follow our accounts. #CWUandProud
To make Heart Unions Week a success, we need as many reps and members as possible to get involved – your help is extremely valuable. You can:
- Demonstrate how brilliant unions are by showcasing all that we achieve for working people – especially during the pandemic.
- Talk to your colleagues about why being a union member is valuable to you.
- Encourage as many people as possible who are already union members to ask someone they know to join the CWU.
- Our hashtag for next Friday will be #CWUandProud – so we want videos, messages and graphics letting the whole movement know why you are so proud to be CWU.
We need you to help us grow the union because the more members we have, the more effectively we can lobby, campaign and negotiate on your behalf, it is absolutely critical that as we face serious issues with our employers and we seek to grow our influence in the wider movement, we have the greatest natural reach possible.

CWU MUGS – ALL PROFITS TO GMB STRIKE FUND
We have linked up with Pellacraft to produce three difference mug designs. Two replicate popular CWU tweets and one has a simple solidarity (or solidary-tea) message to the British Gas workers who are currently embroiled in a major dispute over the practise of fire and rehire.
